Makarasana (Crocodile Pose)
Makar means crocodile in Sanskrit and Makarasana means crocodile pose. This pose helps in problems like slip disc, waist pain, asthma and sciatica. In this pose a person lies flat on the stomach on yoga mat and relaxing the torso. Then blending both the hands from the elbow and placing the palms below the cheeks for support. Now, raising the shoulder and neck and remaining conscious towards the body. As he feels strain on the neck and backbone a person needs to adjust elbows so that tension is evenly spread out between the neck and the lower back. Breathing easy and closing the eyes with ease after positioning the body in best way and then should practice it at his leisure and comfort.
